c) Write the expression for produced intensity of magnetic field due to an infinitely long straight current carrying conductor ?                                        (2)

3. a) Define electric potential and write the relation between potential difference and current in a conductor ?                                         (4)

A current of 4 amp. is flowing in a conductor of length 2 m. The conductor is placed in  a magnetic field of intensity 2.5 Newton / Amp - Metre at an angle of 30 degree. Calculate the magnetic force acting on the conductor.

b) Show by drawing a diagram, the lines of magnetic force in a current carrying solenoid. What will be the effect on placing a soft iron rod inside the solenoid ?          (4)

4. What is the distance of far point of a healthy eye ? A person suffering from short-sightedness can see an object at a maximum distance of 2 m. For correct vision what should be the power of the lens used ? Draw necessary ray diagram.                  (7)
